Driven Morse Oscillator: Model for Multi-photon Dissociation of Nitrogen Oxide

چکیده

Within a one-dimensional semi-classical model with a Morse potential the possibility of infrared multi-photon dissociation of vibrationally excited nitrogen oxide was studied. The dissociation thresholds of typical driving forces and couplings were found to be similar, which indicates that the results were robust to variations of the potential and of the definition of dissociation rate. Torus breakdown and noise-induced dynamics in the randomly driven Morse oscillator

Strictly, the KAM torus no longer exists for a randomly driven Hamiltonian system. We firstly investigate the process of torus breakdown in the randomly driven Morse oscillator by transforming the original system into another one in action-angle variables and introducing the specific Poincaré map by Makarov et al. Though the strength of random perturbations is large, some thick closedlike curve...

Frequency–driven chaos in the electrical circuit of Duffing-Holmes oscillator and its control

Accurate detection of weak periodic signals within noise and possibility of secure messaging have made Duffing oscillator (DO) highly important in the field of communication. Investigation on the properties of DO is thus ardently sought for. An elegant approach to accomplish the same is to fabricate electronic circuit simulating DO non-linear equation and to study the effect of input signal amp...

Automatic Generation of a Multi Agent System for Crisis Management by a Model Driven Approach

Considering the increasing occurrences of unexpected events and the need for pre-crisis planning in order to reduce risks and losses, modeling instant response environments is needed more than ever. Modeling may lead to more careful planning for crisis-response operations, such as team formation, task assignment, and doing the task by teams. A common challenge in this way is that the model shou...

Role of the range of the dipole function in the classical dynamics of molecular dissociation.

The dissociation dynamics of heteronuclear diatomic molecules induced by infrared laser pulses is investigated within the framework of the classical driven Morse oscillator. The interaction between the molecule and the laser field described in the dipole formulation is given by the product of a time-dependent external field with a position-dependent permanent dipole function. The effects of cha...

Fragmentation kinetics of a Morse oscillator chain under tension

The bond dissociation kinetics of tethered atomic (Morse potential) chains under tensile stress is studied. Both RRKM (fully anharmonic, Monte Carlo) and RRK (harmonic appproximation) theory are applied to predict bond dissociation rate constants as a function of energy and tensile force. For chains with N P 3 atoms a hybrid statistical theory is used involving a harmonic approximation for moti...
